Jennifer Debrah of Debrah J Flowers, has chosen to give flowers to survivors of modern slavery and trafficking living in the secure homes of City Hearts.

“I want to help people believe in themselves no matter what they’ve been through, and I’ve seen the impact flowers can have on people,” she added.

Jennifer, who lives and works in Heeley, hopes her gesture will help uplift people who she says have “been through so much.”

She said: “I specifically chose to partner with City Hearts because they deal with modern slavery and I believe in the values of the organization. I’ve always wanted to reach out and help but never knew how to do it so this is such an amazing opportunity for me.

Kirsty Hart, City Hearts, added: “We are so excited about the flowers Debrah J Flowers is going to give. It is such a thoughtful gesture and shows the heart behind the business.

“We are sure that the flowers will help show women that they are appreciated and that after all the darkness they have been through, there is still a lot of beauty and joy in the world.”
